In one corner of the Media Center, close to the story rug area, is the former "B.A.B.E.S. Clubhouse" that was renamed the "Magic Tree House." The house is up off the ground about a foot, with a ramp available, if needed for those with special needs, thus allowing them access. The inside of the Tree House has several small comfortable chairs and some pillows to make it a cozy place for reading. We keep a container of "whisper phones" in there for the students to use so they can read out loud, without being loud.
The students have to understand the proper use of the Tree House and be responsible to use it appropriately. It is a privilege that can and will be taken away if inappropriately used.
